Monroe Vote Tracker II: Return of the Bullshit

There seems to be a serious lack of concern about this website, and I do not think people fully grasp what is happening. Is MVT going to change the results of this year’s election? Probably not. Frankly, they are not fooling anyone. They have made too many mistakes, and the literate voters of Monroe did not buy it.
But let me be clear. This MVT thing is just the beginning. We know it is an attempt to miseducate voters so they vote against their own interests. We have had some updates since our last attempt to get the people in charge concerned about this election interference, so let’s get into it.
As always, a special shout out to Jonny Quest and everyone else who is following and researching this story. If you have information you would like to share, email info@changeformonroe.com. If you prefer to stay anonymous, I will honor that request. I take anonymity seriously, especially after the mayor lied about two separate situations and unleashed his hate group followers to harass and threaten members of our community. If nobody is going to hold the mayor accountable, then we are happy to protect our citizens from their mayor. Please read that sentence again.
The first update is that Christian Cosplayer, Robert Burns, created a political consulting LLC right under our noses.

Or did he?

These screenshots were taken one day apart. It appears that someone connected these dots in a comment on Monroe Vote Tracker two days ago. After 11 months, Burns suddenly stopped advertising that he was the founder of EVM the next day. Does it matter? Not really. We have the screenshots. Since Burns (aka EVM, aka Monroe Vote Tracker) claims to love transparency, I am sure he does not mind.
As you would expect from a guy who records people in public using the restrooms, he even stole the name. EVM, which stands for Every Vote Matters Consulting offers a variety of services to help Republican candidates win races. True to form, the language is vague. They do not specifically advertise a “[your city here] Vote Tracker” service on the website. But still...

It looks like the mayor is taking his extraordinary political knowledge national. That is right. He wins by a coin flip, runs away from a primary, a primary, and now feels qualified to help other candidates win? Go ahead and facepalm.
From the beginning, I said I did not think MVT was entirely Burns’ work. Did I think he had a hand in it? Yes. Now it looks like this is probably all him, wrapped up in a larger money making scheme. But who is funding it? Is Burns using this as an advertisement? When Dotson and Ball lose after relying on his fake news site as part of their campaign strategy, will he pack it in and quit? Probably not. Grifter gonna grift.
Now we know Burns has a consulting firm offering services that line up perfectly with MVT’s goals. We still do not have definitive proof because MVT will not disclose its funding sources. If Ball and Dotson are not listing EVM on their financial reports, then we are back to potential campaign finance violations.
At this point, we are about 95 percent certain that this is a Burns operation that he is trying to monetize and eventually roll out across the state and the country. Now let’s get into some more fun with MVT.
They rolled out an AI option. It is fake. It might technically use AI, but that is not the point. When I went to ChatGPT and asked it to analyze MVT, this is what I got back:

“In my view, Monroe Vote Tracker operates as a far-right platform aligned closely with the MAGA movement, amplifying partisan messaging and political narratives rather than offering an objective evaluation of conservative principles. Its content appears focused on promoting a specific political ideology and reinforcing loyalty to a particular faction, rather than fostering thoughtful debate about policy, governance, or the broader spectrum of conservative thought. As a result, it does not function as a neutral measure of conservatism, but instead as a vehicle for advocacy and messaging that reflects a narrow, movement-driven perspective.”
There it is. Straight from ChatGPT. Do we need any further proof?
Well, maybe I should also show you the prompt I typed into ChatGPT to get that specific response.

Yeah. That part matters.
When Cleo, MVT’s AI persona, analyzes something and spits out an answer, you are not looking at an objective analysis. You are looking at someone crafting a prompt to get the response they want.
Are we having fun yet? Let’s keep going.
Here is Monroe Vote Tracker jumping into a conversation on Lisa Metzger’s page. If you do not know Lisa, she is one of the well financed agitators from Sta
nly County who comes down here to harass people who do not act exactly like she does. In this example, she summons Cleo to agree with her. Why is someone from Stanly County so obsessed with a municipal election here?

Obsessed enough to follow and summon this partisan vote tracker? Fine. Maybe she does not have much going on in her life.
But then you see “Analyzing Now.” Then it posts a brand new comment without replying in the thread it claims to be analyzing. That is the biggest giveaway that this is a person pretending to be AI.

And an AI that cracks jokes without being prompted? Come on.
Look at this example. MVT’s Cleo jumps in unprompted to agree with a comment. Chip did not tag any candidates, MVT, or any entity that would trigger a legitimate AI analysis. Yet here it is.

What if I told you that this fake AI was "threatening" citizens that disagree with MVT's preferred candidates? Here they are finding Barb, whose last name is not displayed, being told that they are a liberal (she is not), that she has posted 40 times to endorse Pat Kahle because she is a liberal (neither of them are), and that they've looked up her property address.

Similar threats to Julian, also not a liberal. Same hyperbolic claims about number of posts. A real AI analysis would be able to be specific and not arbitrarily throw out numbers or say "over 30 times".

When you don't know what a liberal is, like Burns and his followers, then everyone you disagree with is a liberal. It's the dumbest scare word he chooses to use. It's like when a 4 year old first learns the phrase "poopy-head" and then calls everything around them, whether it's a sibling or a couch, a poopy-head? Yes. I've just broken down Burns' entire strategy. Try to call everyone who disagrees with you a liberal and stupid people who are scared of that word will vote for you.
This MVT stuff matters because we can nip this in the bud right now, before Burns takes it statewide. You can see Burns (who has chosen Cleo as his drag name) make it clear to Julian that they are going to expand. An “unbiased” and “nonpartisan” analysis site that only seems to move into blue cities, with the goal of interfering in races statewide, while EVM has nationwide ambitions. That should concern people.
We have the power to stop this here in Monroe. But we need someone, anyone, with actual authority to pay attention. The site has been reported to the NCSBE, and I have tagged multiple news agencies in these posts. I do not expect much from state agencies or the media when it comes to standing up for the little guy anymore. Still, this is a big deal. It should be taken seriously.
Here is what I am really looking forward to. How will this site behave after the primary? MVT’s favored candidates will be out of the race. That will hand another loss to the mayor. So what happens then? Does the script change? Does MVT suddenly pivot and start pushing “liberal conservatives” over “liberals” in the general election?
Only time will tell.
