Monroe Voices, Monroe Choices

Following the mayoral election of 2023, our founder Steven Stegall was dismayed at the results. It seemed like he was living in two different Monroes; one was loving, kind, neighborly, and supportive. The other was a group who had taken it upon themselves to attack the freedoms of our friends and family. 
Steven wanted to organize citizens to reassure himself that Monroe was still the city that he grew up in.

One where neighbors would support each other rather than fabricate lies in the name of politics.
And so, Change for Monroe was born.

We are a group of citizens that see each other as loving neighbors, regardless of political affiliation, race, sexual orientation, or religion.
