Lacking Ethics: A Family Affair

It seems that Michelle Ball is working extra hard to ensure a victory in this coming election. 

We’ve noticed time and time again that lack of a platform, lack of a plan, and lack of any desire to do better doesn’t necessarily keep someone from winning an election. Mayor Burns. However, there is a risk that voters will see through their nonsense and other layers of protection must be put in place to ensure an undeserved victory. From overly strict voter ID laws, to gerrymandering, we watch as people with zero interest in governing win elections through nefarious means. 

Enter Michelle Ball. 

As the election season starts up, it appears that Michelle has some family members working to upset the balance in Monroe. When her lies, frivolous court cases, and Burns inspired hate-filled social media posts won’t get the job done, turn to family.

Meet Wesley King and Olivia Ball. The daughter and son-in-law of candidate Michelle Ball are registered to vote in Monroe. Their registered voting address, public knowledge found at NCSBE.gov, is 2605 Old Charlotte Hwy, Monroe. 

However, when we do a public records search on that property, we find that it’s a building zoned for industrial purposes. A warehouse without a sprinkler system, according to the documents I found.

It looks like Michelle’s daughter and son-in-law have registered to vote at a non-residential address, but one that exists within the city limits of Monroe. It also appears that their efforts are deliberate and not an accidental oversight. 

It’s at this point that my investigative skills come to an end. Currently, the public record shows both Wesley and Olivia residing in another state… Indiana or Florida. I’m not seeing any property that they own in Monroe, or North Carolina at all, nor another address for residency. I’m not making any accusations, other than they are using a fake address to vote in, and mess with, our Monroe elections. Beyond that, I don’t know where they actually live or why they might otherwise be doing this. 

Like me, many of you have gotten tired of folks like this getting away with this bullshit. The best outcome we can possibly hope for is that they have to change their voting address. And they’ll just change it to Michelle’s address. There won’t be accountability (remember that word for later) for any of these folks involved. If this was done at the suggestion or direction of Michelle, she won’t drop out of the race. Olivia and Wesley will be able to keep whatever jobs they have because nobody is going to demand they get fired, and they’ll continue living without a care in the world. 

But yes, this has all been reported to the State Board of Elections. And if you wonder how the NCSBE will handle voter fraud, just ask Mark Harris. Sorry. I mean Congressman Mark Harris.
